Why not spend your Spring, Summer & Fall teaching in the heart of NYC? We are seeking ESL teachers to teach on our innovative English Outdoors program.
Our multinational student body have their daily English classes all over the city, giving them the unique chance to learn English whilst immersing themselves in New York.
We have approx 25 ‘classrooms in the city’ including Bryant Park, Central Park, Madison Square Park, Domino Park, and Essex Market. Outdoor & Indoor locations have been carefully chosen based on comfort, space, ease of access, points of interest, proximity of public restrooms, etc. Our class sizes have an average of 5-6 students, so teachers can give students their undivided attention.
Our teachers also lead our students on weekly field trips to the MOMA, the Whitney, Washington Square Park & the West Village and many more…
Brooklyn School of Languages has been established as a certified and nationally accredited ESL school for 8 years.
Job Type: Part-time
Hours: 18-24 hours per week
Pay: $23-$25 per hour
End of year bonus: $2,000
2-week paid training program
Candidates should have a TEFL certificate (such as CELTA or equivalent) and/or a BA or Master’s Degree in a related field. No previous teaching experience necessary
International Internships at BSL
If you are an international student currently studying overseas, interested in taking an internship in New York City, and can work for at least 6 months, we are interested in hearing from you. Please note that you should be C1 level (as per the CEFR European framework) in your English skills, both in terms of speaking and writing.
